These non-for-profit groups rely on adult volunteers to manage and schedule all aspects of the sport that they represent. These organizations provide outstanding service to their participants and represent a positive partnership between the Park District and the families that it serves.

MYBA logoMorton Youth Baseball Association offers in house and travel baseball teams for: Pinto's (5 - 7 years); Mavericks (7 - 8 years); Mustangs (9 - 10 years); Broncos (11 - 12 years); Pony (13 - 14 years) and Colt (15 - 17 years). Try outs for travel teams are held in the fall. Registration for summer session is held in February. For information on participation, please refer to the MYBA web site.

MGSA (Morton Girls Softball Association)

MGSA logoThe Morton Girls' Softball Association provides opportunities for young ladies from the ages of 4 - 19. We have programs for all skill levels from beginner through expert. Morton J.F.L. Youth Football & Cheerleading

Morton J.F.L. logoThe Morton J.F.L. Offers a fall program of tackle & flag football in a variety of ages and weight appropriate teams. Games are played at the J.F.L. Fields located at Southwood Park. Cheerleaders perform at all home games and practice 2 times a week. The program runs from early August to late October with practice on weeknights and games on weekends against area teams. Registration begins on Saturday, May 14 and May 21 from 9:00am to Noon at the Freedom Hall building located at Birchwood Park. For more information please check the Morton J.F.L website.

MYSO (Morton Youth Soccer Organization)

MYSO logoThe Morton Youth Soccer Organization (MYSO) will be holding walk-in registration for its Fall community based program on Saturday, May 7 from 9:00 - 11:00am and Monday, May 9 from 5:30 - 7:30pm at the Morton Park District Recreation Center, 324 Detroit. MYSO soccer offers team play for both girls and boys in grades 1st - 9th. A clinic is offered for those entering kindergarten. MORTON BLAZE SOCCER (competitive traveling program)

Morton Blaze logoThe Morton Blaze Soccer Club offers competitive travel soccer for ages 7 - 18. Tryouts will be held for the 2011-2012 season at McClallen Park within the first two weeks in June. Please refer to the Morton Blaze Soccer website in May for more information.

MORTON HEAT

Morton Heat logoMorton Heat is a competitive travel basketball organization for boys and girls in 3rd through 6th grade through the Morton Basketball Association. Each grade level has separate boys and girls teams which practice on weeknights and play games on weekends against area teams. Tryouts are held in late October/early November. MORTON BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION

The Morton Basketball Association also offers a 5th and 6th grade In House league. All games are played on Saturday morning/early afternoon at Jefferson in December, January, February with one weeknight practice each week. For more information, please visit our website at www.mortonheat.org.
