IDLEWOOD PARK

Located on Greenwood Street adjacent to Grundy Grade School the 10-acre park is home of the Morton Pool. The outdoor pool is open during the summer months and offers a variety of public swimming activities, including lessons, swim team, rentals, water ballet, and open swim times. The pool bathhouse has public restrooms available to park users. The park also has two public shelters, with grills, for public use. A new playground was installed in the park in 1995. The park also contains a sand volleyball court and a full size soccer field that is the practice facility for the Morton High School boys and girls teams. The field is also a home field for the Morton Blaze traveling youth soccer teams for both boys and girls.

The Morton Lions Club donated the flagpole at the swimming pool. The Lions Club has also donated the funds to build a second shelter at the park.
