BIKE TRAIL

The Morton Community Bikeway is completed and open for public use on a year round basis as weather permits. The 2 mile trail paved trail starts at the corner of Jefferson, Jackson and Detroit Streets and continues west towards East Peoria where it directly connects to the Fon-Du-Lac River Trail. The 1/2 mile extension of the trail from Westwood Park along Veterans Road is also open. The Park District allows dogs on the paved bike trails. Animals must be on a leash and owners are required to pick up after their dogs. Trash receptacles and "Dog Potty" stations are available along the trail system. Dog owners agree to assume the full risk of any injuries, damages, or loss associated with their dog while walking the trails. Dogs must have current vaccination tags. Individuals walking dogs are to be at least 16 years of age and are limited to walking no more than 3 dogs at a time.

If you have any questions about the trail, please feel free to email or call the Park District at 263-7429.
